Strider Technologies, a DataTribe-backed company, has released a report disclosing Chinese government efforts to co-opt research at US National Labs to advance their national security and defense programs. The report is being featured by NBC News in their national broadcast and cable programs. Through their "talent" programs, the Chinese government pays researchers in the US for access to their research and in numerous cases, recruits those researchers to bring their knowledge to China to advance their national security and economic interests. And the US Government doesn't appear to give a damn....

“Through talent recruitment programs like the Thousand Talents, China pays scientists at American universities to secretly bring our knowledge and innovation back to China — including valuable, federally funded research,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said during a speech in 2020. “To put it bluntly, this means American taxpayers are effectively footing the bill for China’s own technological development.”
