Cybersecurity breaches have become a daily occurrence and the explosive use of Ransomware materially lowers the bar for would be hackers to disrupt the digital operations of enterprises of any and all forms. The fact is a cyber breach is almost inevitable across the broad spectrum of businesses, government, healthcare, and educational institutions. When faced with that fact, the imperative to prepare in advance, to understand the implications of an attack and how your organization will prepare and respond, becomes very clear. Even the simplest of ransomware attacks, can have hugely disruptive impact of business, small and large alike (when you’re down, you’re down) and you need to have a plan, hopefully tested, that allows you to recover and “get back in business” as quickly as possible.
