As kids return to school, the cyber bandits are coming out of the woodwork and turning their attention on our most vulnerable institutions - K-12 schools. Technically unsophisticated with next to no cyber training and limited budgets - these institutions are amongst the most vulnerable in our society. While not the wealthiest of targets, they often represent the low-hanging fruit of cyber victims, with little in the way of alternatives to "paying up" in hopes to of restoring their operations and getting back to the business of education...

Is Nothing Sacred? K-12 Ransomware Attacks are on the Rise...
Last August and September, the latest data available, the FBI reported that 57 percent of known ransomware incidents involved K-12 schools. That was more than twice the number of school ransomware attacks reported in the earlier months of 2020
